Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operates various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers and/or directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities.
• Placing or maintaining underground utilities, which may include digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, placing handholes, placing manholes, backfilling & compacting.
• Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment such as maintaining fluids, greasing equipment as required, and other routine maintenance as necessary.
• Familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred.
• Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
