About the role

Join Tank's Recycling and Landfill in Tucson, AZ, as a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator and experience the thrill of working with advanced machinery on dynamic landscaping projects. This onsite position allows you to make a direct impact in our community while collaborating with a team of driven professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate essential machinery, including front-end loaders, skid steers, and excavators.
  • Loading and unloading materials, managing stockpiles, and supporting daily landfill operations.
  • Conducting daily inspections of equipment.
  • Aiding in site maintenance, material placement, and ensuring efficient traffic flow throughout the site.
  • Collaborating with scale house attendants, mechanics, and site managers to streamline operations.
  • Traveling between landfill locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating loaders, skid steers, and excavators, preferably in a landfill or construction environment.
  • A strong ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in outdoor conditions year-round.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Heavy equipment certification from CAT, John Deere, or a trade school (optional but enhances qualifications).

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in operating front-end loaders, skid steers, and excavators.
  • Experience in a landfill or construction setting preferred.
