Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as Bobcats, loaders, excavators, and other construction equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines while operating equipment
- Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general construction support
- Cook up with site supervisors to ensure proper equipment usage
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
- Identify mechanical issues and complete minor repairs as needed
- Report major repair needs and coordinate with external service providers when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs
- Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment checks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support overall job site safety initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and basic mechanical repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify equipment issues
- Understanding of construction site safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
