About the role
This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, water trucks and or tractor unit (with and without pups, end dumps, belly dumps, lowboys, tanker (trailers) and tarping systems).
Responsibilities
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills of dump trucks, water trucks and or tractor unit (with and without pups, end dumps, belly dumps, lowboys, tanker (trailers) and tarping systems related equipment to be operated.
- Can operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Must keep time and material records.
- Must follow verbal and written instruction.
- Knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates.
- Knowledge of different types of construction equipment.
- Able to maneuver and back with trailer.
- Ability for maneuvering and backing with trailer.
- Connect and disconnect trailer.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
- Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
