About the role
Heavy Field Service Technicians function as part of the Service Team and are responsible for the repair of heavy-classed industrial, construction, and material handling equipment at various customer locations. You will bring each unit back to operational and safety standards while communicating effectively with salespeople, coordinators, managers, and customers about downtime and job progress.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of heavy equipment on-site to restore operational and safety standards.
- Communicate job progress and potential downtime updates to all involved parties, including customers and internal teams.
- Operate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, adhering to DOT-rated company vehicle standards and on-site safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of mechanical training, education, or experience in a related field.
- Possess or ability to obtain a complete line of tools, including specialized tools for customer-site repairs.
- Minimum 21 years of age with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Above-average communication skills.
- Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
- Accuracy and timeliness in completing duties.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
