About the role
Komatsu is a leading provider of construction and heavy equipment solutions. Komatsu Company-Owned Dealer East operates eleven branches across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. We are seeking experienced technicians to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on construction, mining, material handling, paving, milling, and other types of heavy equipment
- Diagnose and repair issues with engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Train less experienced mechanics
- Operate heavy equipment
- Follow company and DOT policies regarding vehicle operation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair industry
- Advanced diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment
- Ability to repair, tear down, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft products and industry-specific software
- Ability to read and write the English language
- Ability to convey repair details in clear and accurate service notes
- Participation in writing customer quotes and delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Ability to travel by operating and maintaining a company vehicle in compliance with company and DOT policies
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, and push
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to carry, grasp, reach, stoop, bend, and crouch
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Hand/eye and motor coordination
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Experience in industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, cold, odors, hazards, and atmospheric exposures

Pay
$35.00 - 45.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule
First Shift, Monday through Friday
