Responsibilities
- Review photos, documentation, and other claim materials to assess damage.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using approved industry-standard software.
- Evaluate repair vs. replace decisions and determine appropriate parts usage.
- Assess whether vehicles are repairable or should be deemed salvage.
- Collaborate with repair facilities to process supplements and update estimates.
- Negotiate scope of repairs and pricing with repair facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Licenses as required.
- Three (3) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include at least one (1) year of heavy equipment experience.
Skills & Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to understand and utilize appraisal software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
