Responsibilities

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all heavy equipment within the organization.
• Implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment longevity and minimize downtime.
• Documenting all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
• Analyzing equipment failure trends and developing strategies to reduce such incidents.
• Coinciding with project managers and other team members to ensure equipment availability for all projects.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures related to equipment use.
• Training and supervising staff on the correct use and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Reporting on equipment status, maintenance activities, and other relevant aspects to senior management.
• Collaborating with procurement teams to source and acquire new equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze equipment failure trends and develop effective solutions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report effectively to senior management.
• A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field will be highly regarded.
