Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to support the operation. This day shift position will be located at Brushy Creek surface in Boss, MO, with the potential for work locations within the Viburnum Trend in Southeast Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Operate equipment both on surface and underground.
• Perform pre-shift and work area inspections.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Between 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience may include operating equipment outside of Doe Run.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Successful completion of Entry Level Miner program plus previous experience operating road grader (underground only).

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to perform minor maintenance: changing filters, greasing equipment, and other routine maintenance.
• Surface: Operate forklift, front end loader, dozer, manlift, and other equipment as assigned.
• Underground: Operate grader, boulder breaker, and other equipment as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of surface and underground equipment operation.
• Pre-shift and work area inspection skills.

Pay

$26.04/hour with a 5% targeted monthly bonus.

Schedule

Rotating shifts up to 7 days per week.
