Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Eudora Quarry in Eudora, KS. The position involves operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Properly wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Absorb materials according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1+ years of related experience
• Valid US driver’s license
• Experience in a dozer and excavator

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling material
