Description
The Gunnison County Public Works Department is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator I. The position is a 40-hour per week role with comprehensive benefits.

Pay
- Heavy Equipment Operator I: hourly range from $24.19 to $27.54, plus full benefits.
- Heavy Equipment Operator II: hourly range from $28.53 to $32.49, plus full benefits.

Requirements
- Valid Colorado driver's license.
- Completion of ICS 100 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
- Valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
- Current flagging certification.
- Willingness to complete MSHA Part 46 certification.
- Willingness to take and pass a First Aid class, CPR class, and other safety training.
- Willingness to attend additional training such as Road Scholar classes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of experience in construction, maintenance, or repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
