Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, off-road trucks, stabilizers, and tractors with pans. They operate equipment to assist in the construction of structures, roads, subdivisions, plants, and others. The HEO works in coordination with our projects to deliver work that aligns with the organization's strategic vision and closely with the superintendents and the rest of the operations team for all projects. The position requires the exercise of discretion, decision-making, and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

Operate construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, off-road trucks, stabilizers, and tractors with pans.
Assist in the construction of structures, roads, subdivisions, plants, and other projects.
Work in coordination with projects to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic vision.
Closely collaborate with superintendents and the rest of the operations team for all projects.
Exercise discretion, decision-making, and independent judgment in performing tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
At least 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Proficiency in using construction equipment.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good communication skills.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Passing a background check.
