About the role

A full-time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Instructor position for the Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor students in heavy equipment operations and management.
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Use Trimble GPS grade control and data collection systems for various tasks.
  • Manage and rotate laser levels for grade and elevation control.
  • Utilize drones for site planning and possess a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment operations industry.
  • Excellent communications, computer, and interpersonal skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • A bachelor's degree or willingness to earn one.
  • Prior teaching/training experience in a hands-on or vocational setting.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in site survey.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License.
