About the role
WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance services
- Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment
- Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Performs service calls
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles
- Assists Lead Mechanics as needed
- Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
- Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
- Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating professionally with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management
Requirements
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
- Valid driver license
Physical Requirements
- Handle tools and equipment requiring fine motor skills
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
- Occasionally lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
