Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Up to $5k Sign on Bonus

About the Role

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic who, under limited supervision, will repair and maintain our fleet of vehicles. Mechanics of all experience levels are encouraged to apply! Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance services
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment
• Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment
• Performs service calls
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles
• Assists Lead Mechanics as needed
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on Vehicle Condition Reports
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and organizational standards
• Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounts for applied times
• Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management

Requirements

• Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair
• Valid driver license

Physical Requirements

• Handle tools and equipment requiring fine motor skills
• Reach with hands and arms
• Climb and walk on heights often greater than 4 feet
• Occasionally must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
