Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Beaumont, TX

About the role

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy machinery and construction equipment used across marine and civil construction projects. This includes excavators, dozers, cranes, loaders, piling rigs, barges, and specialized marine equipment. The role ensures all plant assets are safe, operational, and maintained to manufacturer specifications, supporting construction teams on both land and water-based worksites.

Responsibilities

• Handling power tools
• Using a variety of mechanical tools
• Operating motorized equipment
• Installing and removing mechanical components and parts that vary in weight and dimension inside engine compartments and at various heights above the ground, with fall protection measures in place
• Working in both shop and outdoor environments, often in all weather extremes
• Requiring alert individuals with good balance and physical strength
• Lifting up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis

Requirements

• Mechanics must have their own tools
• Mechanic must be willing to travel
• Position requires a TWIC Card
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
