Become a member of our winning team! Do you like to solve technical problems? Are you effective at troubleshooting? If so, we have opportunity as a Resident Heavy Equipment Field Technician in our Service Department at our Fairbanks, AK Branch.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and repairing of heavy equipment (including removing, repairing, assembling and installing).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging and blocking equipment.
  • Plan and organize tasks with a focus on controlling job costs.
  • Investigate, analyze, and identify problems to make recommendations for their resolution.

Qualifications & Experience Needed

  • A high school degree (or equivalent) or a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
  • The ability to stand up to eight hours per day and perform tasks such as twisting, bending, squatting, sitting stooping and kneeling.
  • Flexibility to travel for extended periods of time to work with our customers.
  • Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.

Pay

Salary Range: $63.65-67.65 (Based on skills and experience).

Schedule

Flexibility to travel for extended periods of time to work with our customers will be required.
