Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
- Work smarter, not harder by determining root cause and corrective actions quickly
- Practice safe job practices for repairs
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
- Absorb and assist in training lower-level technicians
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
- Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
Other Duties, Assigned as Needed
- Additional tasks as directed by management
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of overtime pay after working 40 hours. On-call scheduling may apply with additional compensation provided.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Physical requirements: Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely; able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be clean-shaven for certain customer sites (preferred)
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
