Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders
  • Track machine service intervals
  • Order parts
  • Diagnose issues faster using data from hundreds of makes and models
  • Determine root cause and corrective action for each issue quickly
  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
  • Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner
  • Absorb and assist in the training of lower level technicians
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
  • Maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner

Other Duties, Assigned as Needed

  • Field Mechanic: Additional tasks as assigned

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay after 40 hours.

Pay

$26hr - $35hr (Based on experience and qualifications)

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
  • Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Must be clean shaven for certain customers' requirements
  • Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
