Job Responsibilities
- Perform significant maintenance and repairs on trucks and all types of equipment.
- Avoid and troubleshoot truck and equipment maintenance problems.
- Diagnose parts and components to determine method and extent of repair necessary.
- Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.
- Anticipate necessary parts and supplies for order.
- Accurately complete shop forms.
- Maintain tidy work areas.
- Maintain regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid CDL – (Class A preferred)
- Qualified driving record
- Experience with heavy truck and equipment repair – (preferred)
- Own tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Class B License with tankers endorsements
- Hazmat
- Forklift experience
Physical Requirements
- Walking, bending, squatting, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
- Heavy work-exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move object.
- Use of hands for grasping and fine manipulations.
- Able to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
- Head movement/rotation moving head in any direction (up, down, side to side).
- Requires climbing in and out of Ready-Mix and Flatbed Trucks multiple times a day.
- Wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment.
- Exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
- Exposure to outside working conditions; to cold or hot temperatures.
