Responsibilities
- Operate the Tandem and equipment safely
- Perform maintenance check and pre-trip inspections
- Ensure proper loading of aggregates and verify the type and weight of materials being hauled
- Ensure on-time delivery of aggregates and other road construction materials
- Maintain truck box to remove any/all debris when necessary
- Perform miscellaneous labour activities throughout the say as necessary
Skills / Qualifications
- 2 years experience in road construction industry preferred
- Confident ability to back up loader trailers
- Class 3 driver’s license and clean abstract
- Knowledge of constructions materials
- Must be physically fit
- Good attitude, punctual, ability to work independently as we as with others
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators for tasks such as digging parking lots, streets, and ditching
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade specifications to ensure precise excavation
- Perform daily pre-operational checks (fluid levels, safety systems) and routine maintenance including lubrication and cleaning
- Follow all company and provincial safety regulations; identify and mitigate hazards such as underground utilities
- Perform daily site inspections prior to each shift
- Work closely with site supervisors and ground crew to maintain efficient workflow
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently

Key Responsibilities
- Safely direct and control traffic at construction sites
- Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring traffic flow and alerting crews to potential hazards
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (cones, barrels, signage)
- Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios
- Respond professionally to public inquiries
- Absorb general labour duties as required
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment in construction
- Experience with graders or dozers is an asset
- Experience using GPS/Trimble systems is preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required; Class 1 or 3 is an asset

- Health & safety training (Confined Space, Trenching & Excavation, First Aid/CPR) is an asset
- Proven ability to install fire hydrants, valves, water services, manholes, catch basins, and piping
- Willingness to work weekends as required
- Ability to work long hours (approximately 12-hour days)
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, Diagnosis, maintenance and repair the following: diesel and/or other internal combustion engines, transmissions, drive train, ABS, suspension, general air brake repairs and/or hydraulic equipment, all related electrical and auxiliary equipment
- Develop a working knowledge of the technical and administrative procedures necessary to perform the duties of a Journeyperson heavy duty equipment technician
- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble and maintain equipment and perform other routine maintenance work
- Ensure repairs and maintenance follow manufacturer specifications and safety regulations
- Complete work orders upon completion of each job
- Diagnostics with a computer
- Training and directing Apprentices may be required
Requirements
- Must have a complete set of Mechanic’s hand tools on their first day of employment
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 3 or 1 License with Air Brake an asset)
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- To work extended hours and shift work, weekends, if necessary, on occasion
- Physically capable: position requirements, lifting (up to 100lbs), exposure to extreme weather conditions, etc.
- Ability to work outside for field or mobile repairs as necessary

- Minimum level 3 up to journey person
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per shift during peak season including weekends)
