Duties
- Ability to independently diagnose issues with hydraulic/electrical systems and diesel engines.
- Perform maintenance as required on equipment.
- Experience repairing generators, excavators, Lighting Towers, Compressors, Forklifts
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- The ability to diagnose & trouble shoot equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions and faults and perform approved repairs.
- Repair and replace mechanical & electrical components etc.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms.
Qualifications
- Combination of Secondary Education and Specialized Postsecondary Technical training in heavy equipment mechanics a must.
- Day Shift / Ability to work evenings and weekends if needed (Depending on scope of work)
- High School Diploma
- Machinery skills, build and repair.
- Practical experience on a Construction Site, Farm or Mining, working around Heavy Machinery
- Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Electronics
Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
- Noisy, Dusty
- Ability To lift 50lbs +
- Indoor & Outdoor, cold & hot, and wet conditions
- Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.
Experience
- Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic: 3 years (Required)
Pay
$30.00 – $35.00 USD per hour
