Job Purpose

To analyze and diagnose problems, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment in both a field and a shop environment with little or no supervision at times.

Roles, Duties, & Responsibilities

- Repair of various types of construction equipment - Perform duties in an expedient and professional manner and maintain open communication with the shop and field. - Works both in a field and a shop environment. - Operates the equipment well enough to determine whether it is operating properly. - Travels to various sites to repair necessary equipment. - Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.

Work Qualifications

- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. - Must have the ability to read and understand service manuals. - Owns their own tools to perform the necessary repairs. - Works in dusty and/or dirty surroundings and practices good safety habits. - Communicates effectively and maintains good problem resolution. - Follows instructions and makes decisions based on verifiable standards. - Demonstrates attentive and active listening skills and learns quickly on the job. - Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner. - Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines.

Education & Work Experience Requirements

- Must possess a clean Driver’s License. - Minimum of (5) years of experience. - Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
