Responsibilities

• Diagnose truck problems and perform truck repairs.
• Create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts.
• Tag all warranty parts that are replaced and turn in parts with core value.
• Communicate updates to the Foreman daily.
• Maintain organized toolboxes and clean, safe workstations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Must pass post‑offer drug screening, physical examination (including lift test), and background check.

Skills

• D‑Level Technician: basic chassis repairs, basic engine repairs, able to perform chassis remove & install, competent in preventative maintenance and internal/factory warranty processes.
• C‑Level Technician: basic diagnostic skills, comfortable with major vendor/factory, can perform most chassis repairs, engine accessory repairs, complete engine remove & install.
• B‑Level Technician: advanced diagnostics skills, complete engine repairs, complex chassis repairs, knowledgeable on all vehicle component repairs, HVAC.
• A‑Level Technician: proficient on all vehicle component repairs, able to diagnose all vehicle component failures, competent in root cause failure analysis, vibration analysis, aftertreatment repairs and diagnostics.

Pay

$24.50–$44.50 per hour, depending on experience level and certifications, plus production bonus. Up to a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for Detroit‑certified technicians.
