Job Duties
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, providing support and guidance throughout the repair process.
- Execute repairs under supervision, demonstrating proficiency and attention to detail.
- Adhere closely to written and oral instructions, maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Prioritize safety at all times, contributing to a secure working environment.
- Demonstrate autonomy and initiative, capable of working independently when required.
- Willingness to participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Participates in specific training programs as prescribed by VTRL
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferably possess post-secondary vocational education.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Class B Driver’s License within a specified timeframe.
- Ability to understand and comply with Company Policies comprehensively.
Required Training
- 2+ years of experience in heavy truck repairs or a related field.
- Ability to pursue a Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Basic training provided by third parties or the company.
- Fundamental knowledge of heavy-duty electrical systems.
- Capability to assist in diagnosing failures and executing repairs effectively.
- Familiarity with component rebuilds and replacements, such as engines and transmissions.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
