Heavy Duty Diesel Shop Manager

About the role

The Heavy Duty Diesel Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a diesel repair facility. This position requires strong leadership skills, experience in heavy duty vehicle maintenance, and the ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the diesel repair facility
• Manage a team of technicians and mechanics
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards
• Develop and implement training programs for staff
• Work closely with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
• Monitor and maintain equipment and tools
• Perform routine inspections and repairs on heavy duty vehicles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in automotive technology or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in heavy duty vehicle maintenance and management
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Knowledge of industry certifications such as CHART or CHET
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Experience with diesel engine diagnostics and repair
• Understanding of heavy duty vehicle components and systems

• $80,000 - $90,000 annually
