About the Role
Join our team as a skilled Mechanic responsible for keeping our fleet and equipment running at peak performance. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of automotive and stationary equipment — including trucks, tractor-trailers, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, air compressors, and welding equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and stationary equipment to company standards
- Proactively identify issues and coordinate repairs with the Manager and team
- Supervise and guide a Mechanic's Helper
- Conduct required inspections and complete all maintenance documentation accurately
- Respond to road calls and on-site equipment breakdowns as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations; report concerns promptly
- Pick up equipment or supplies as needed
- Share knowledge by training fellow employees
- Provide coverage for colleagues as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Work Environment
- Indoor shop and outdoor field work
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals (fuel, grease, oil)
- Close proximity to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate to loud noise levels
Physical Demands
- Must be able to handle heavy materials, including lifting up to 100 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and pinching
- Extended periods of standing, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and working on your back
