Heavy Duty Diagnostic Diesel Tech

Duties

• Familiar with all aspects of light and medium duty chassis, suspension, HVAC, engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic skills.
• Diagnose cause of non-conformance, identify corrective action necessary to correct non-conformance.
• Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
• Must be able to use computer diagnostics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience required.
• Preferred – Diesel or Automotive Program Certificate or degree.
• Experience with some or all of the following engine platforms: Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, Isuzu, Hino, Mack, Volvo, Power Stroke, Duramax, LS, Triton, and Godzilla.
• ASE Certifications a big plus.
• A State Inspector License a big plus.

Physical And Safety Requirements

• Move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
• Use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100lbs with assistance.
• Read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety legislations, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

Education And Experience

• 7+ years' experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• CDL a plus.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card.
