About the role

Zum Transportation is seeking a Commercial Fleet Diesel Diagnostic Technician to join their team in Seattle, WA. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy and medium duty diesel vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair issues related to diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components on commercial vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure vehicles meet fleet standards.
  • Communicate with customers regarding vehicle status and repair progress.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate commercial vehicles.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a vocational training program in automotive technology preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
