About the role

The Heavy Dirt Work Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all heavy earthmoving operations within the Decatur, AL area. This individual must possess extensive experience in managing large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all heavy earthmoving operations including grading, excavation, and backfilling.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with other project managers to coordinate site activities and resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy earthmoving operations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
