Johnson Equipment Sales & Service is expanding and seeks an experienced Heavy Diesel Road Service Technician for their Farmington, NY team. This full-time, first-shift position (Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM) offers competitive pay, stability, and the freedom of road-based repair work. Overtime and an after-hours bonus are available.

What You’ll Do
As a Road Service Technician, you’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, and represent Johnson Equipment with professionalism and skill. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment
- Perform brake, tire, heater, and defroster repairs
- Road-test equipment to verify repairs
- Deliver efficient, high-quality repairs that meet time standards
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers and the Repair Coordinator
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience working on 48’/53’ equipment
- Component training or trailer tech certifications preferred
- Your own basic tool set
- Valid Class A license with at least 6 months of experience
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
