Heathers Manor - Server (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Dining Room Server for Heathers Manor, a Transforming Age community located in Crystal, MN. This is a part-time position on weekends (approximately 15-20 hours per week), with a rate of pay at $13.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver delicious meals and friendly service in a clean and comfortable setting.
• Assist residents with meal selection, including ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar).
• Record orders and relay to kitchen production area.
• Be knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Work efficiently and quickly to deliver food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for next meal service.
• May assist with light back of house/kitchen duties (such as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee, etc.).
• Absorb and clear tables.
• Observe residents to ensure safety in dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long-term care, home care, or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems.
• Effective English verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• May need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical, fingerprint, and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.
