Server (Part-Time)
Duties And Responsibilities
- Greets customers.
- Takes food and drink orders from customers and answers questions about menu items.
- Relays customers’ orders to other kitchen staff.
- Serves food and drinks to customers.
- Cleans assigned work areas, such as dining tables or serving counters.
- Stocks service stations, cabinets, and tables.
- Sets tables or prepare food stations for new customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Excellent listening skills and detail oriented.
- Able to ask appropriate questions to deliver the best service possible.
- Experience in a hospitality, healthcare or service environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
- The Server works in a dining room and spends most of their shift on their feet.
- They carry trays of food, dishes, or glassware, which are often heavy.
- During busy dining periods, the server position are under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently.
