Heat Treater C-A

Position Summary

The Heat Treater C position is based in Roselle, NJ and is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on retention bonus. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical, and be able to work full-time, 40+ hours per week.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Affords assistance with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as required and as outlined in procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or directed by the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months experience in heat treating.
• Working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must be able to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must be able to work in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
