Job Duties

Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute spans a 31-county service area and has 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons, as well as 82 Advanced Practitioners. This team provides care in a complement of 5 acute care tertiary/quaternary hospitals, 4 community hospitals, numerous outreach locations and together performs over 10,000 cardiac procedures annually.

The Institute features multiple accredited chest pain centers, a nationally recognized regional STEMI PCI network, TAVR program, complex arrhythmia ablation, and a full range of coronary, vascular and structural heart interventions.

The multidisciplinary team members of the Geisinger Heart and Vascular Institute participate in outcomes and population-based research through the Geisinger Center for Health Research; molecular, cellular and genomics research at the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research; and trials of new drugs, devices and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows per year and advanced fourth-year cardiology fellows, an annual Cardiology Symposium and frequent CME lectures.

About the Role

The Heart Failure Cardologist will join a team that provides comprehensive care for heart failure patients, participating in clinical research, education, and community outreach programs.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Qualifications

Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
