About the role

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to provide care across multiple locations throughout Northwest Michigan. This is a field-based role where you’ll function as an extension of the clinical care team, delivering essential hearing services directly to patients in a consistent, well-supported environment serving senior populations. If you’re looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency — without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice — this opportunity offers flexibility and strong operational support.

The opportunity operates across established long-term care and skilled nursing environments. Facilities have consistent patient volume and support staff, organized scheduling and coordinated patient flow, and structured, repeatable weekly routes. The focus is on serving senior and underserved populations. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, allowing you to focus entirely on patient care.

This is not a traditional retail or private practice model. Providers operate in a structured environment with a predictable schedule and consistent patient base, emphasizing quality over volume, consistency and route-based scheduling, full administrative and logistical support, long-term facility partnerships, and mission‑driven care for senior populations.

  • Perform hearing evaluations and assessments within your scope of practice
  • Assess patients for hearing loss and determine appropriate hearing instrument needs
  • Fit, program, and adjust hearing instruments
  • Educate patients and facility staff on hearing instrument use and care
  • Work alongside facility staff to coordinate patient care
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality hearing care across assigned locations

Qualifications

  • Experience with geriatric populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a mobile, multi-location setting

$25 per hour (W2 position)
