Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Hearing Aid Specialist to join our hearing healthcare team in Lexington, KY. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about improving patients' quality of life through personalized hearing care and advanced hearing aid technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Congduct comprehensive hearing evaluations using best-practice clinical protocols.
  • Assess hearing aid candidacy and recommend individualized hearing solutions.
  • Program, fit, verify, and adjust hearing instruments from leading manufacturers.
  • Educate patients on hearing loss, hearing aid use, maintenance, and long-term hearing health.
  • Perform hearing aid cleanings, repairs, troubleshooting, and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation and clinical records.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while building long-term patient relationships.
  • Collaborate with clinic leadership and team members to support operational success.
  • Participate in community outreach and hearing health education initiatives.
  • Stay current with advancements in hearing healthcare through continuing education.

Qualifications

  • Required: Active Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) License or Audiologist License.
  • Required: Active Kentucky Hearing Aid Dispensing License (or ability to obtain if applicable).
  • Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain hearing healthcare concepts in a patient-friendly manner.

Preferred (not Mandatory)

  • Previous experience in hearing aid dispensing or audiology.
  • Experience with hearing aid programming and verification systems.
  • Retail healthcare or patient-facing clinical experience.

Patient Volume

Patient Volume Approximately 8-14 patients per day

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
  • Monthly Performance Bonus
  • Typical Total Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
