About the role
Greencroft Goshen is seeking a Healthcare Unit Secretary to join their dedicated team. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule and a supportive environment where great resident care starts with a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls at the nursing station.
- Process physician orders and maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Order medications through the pharmacy and verify medication documentation.
- Schedule resident appointments and coordinate transportation.
- Assist with admissions, medical records, and resident documentation.
- Scan and maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
- Capture and review laboratory orders for accuracy.
- Support nurses with physician communications and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, directories, and nursing resources.
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives, compliance documentation, and special healthcare projects.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A current QMA certification is required.
- One to three years of CNA or healthcare experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations is necessary.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems is expected.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with the nursing team is crucial.
Qualifications

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
