About the role

Greencroft Goshen is seeking a Healthcare Unit Secretary to join their dedicated team. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule and a supportive environment where great resident care starts with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls at the nursing station.
  • Process physician orders and maintain Medication Administration Records (MARs).
  • Order medications through the pharmacy and verify medication documentation.
  • Schedule resident appointments and coordinate transportation.
  • Assist with admissions, medical records, and resident documentation.
  • Scan and maintain electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Capture and review laboratory orders for accuracy.
  • Support nurses with physician communications and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, forms, directories, and nursing resources.
  • Coordinate quality improvement initiatives, compliance documentation, and special healthcare projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A current QMA certification is required.
  • One to three years of CNA or healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations is necessary.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems is expected.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with the nursing team is crucial.

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, No Weekends!
