About the role
Become a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) at Miller’s Health Systems and make a difference each day.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic care to patients and assist them in their daily activities.
- Administer medications to patients and record related documentation.
- Watch for changes in patients and quickly report them to the nursing team.
- Collect and record vital information for patients’ conditions and treatment.
Qualifications
- Successfully complete Resident Care Assistant and Medication Assistant Training courses.
- Complete the 60 hour Qualified Medication Assistant course and 40 hour practicum.
- Pass the Qualified Medication Assistant exam.
- Be certified as a Qualified Medication Assistant by the State of Indiana.
- Register with the State Department of Public Instruction.
- Meet all qualifications for a Nurse Assistant.
- Show proven ability and experience as a resident care assistant.
- Have experience in long-term care (preferred).
- Follow instructions, communicate verbally and in writing, maintain neat and professional appearance, and pass a physical examination.
