Healthcare Turnover Technician

About the role

Work as part of a small team to complete timely, thorough turnovers of hospital rooms between patients, following strict cleaning checklists and protocols. Maintain a professional demeanor while coordinating closely with team members and hospital staff to keep room turnaround on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Accurately follow all infection-control procedures, including proper use of chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment specific to a healthcare environment.
• Attain familiarity with facility-specific cleaning specifications and requirements, providing excellent customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Exhibit proficiency, efficiency, and professionalism in all areas of job performance.
• Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for tasks and looking for ways to add value to the job and serve the customer.

Requirements

• Strong ability to follow detailed checklists and instructions precisely and consistently.
• Proper, safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with willingness to learn healthcare-specific protocols.
• Professional communication and demeanor, particularly in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately (including HIPAA-sensitive environments).
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Availability to work 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial services, healthcare environmental services (EVS), or hospitality housekeeping.
• Comfort working in a clinical setting.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and healthcare environments.
• Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, or otherwise moves objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently walks, stands, bends, stoops, and moves quickly between rooms.
