About the Role

We are seeking an attorney with experience in corporate transactions and regulatory matters to join our growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic business initiatives within a highly regulated industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys both transactional work and complex legal analysis, values collaboration, and wants to build deeper industry knowledge while working closely with clients and experienced legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other complex business transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, employment agreements, ancillary transaction documents, and related contracts
• Conduct legal due diligence and assist with transaction structuring
• Analyze regulatory considerations impacting business transactions and operations
• Prepare transaction summaries, client communications, memoranda, and legal analyses
• Support clients throughout the transaction lifecycle from initial planning through closing
• Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel and other transaction parties
• Advise clients on compliance, risk management, and operational legal considerations
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to address multifaceted legal issues
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal counsel

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts or ability to waive in
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling corporate transactions
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, or commercial transactions
• Strong drafting and contract negotiation skills
• Ability to analyze complex regulatory and business issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Experience working directly with clients and transaction teams
• Strong academic credentials
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality client service
• Desire for long-term professional growth and increased responsibility
• Interest in developing industry-specific regulatory knowledge

Pay

$200,000 - $300,000 per year
