Schedule
- Full-time: Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shifts including weekends.
- Part-time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and must be available on weekends.
Pay
$15 - $15.86 per hour (depending on experience) + $600 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare simple desserts and salads with care.
- Serve meals in the health center with a friendly, attentive approach.
- Set up dining room tables before mealtimes and clear/refresh them afterward.
- Deliver hot and cold foods and non-food items to residents at the health center to support a smooth meal service.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
- Fundamental working knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
- Ability to understand, follow, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders, and interpret specifications and standards.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
