Healthcare Recruiter for Volunteer Services

About the role

Provides expertise and assists with oversight of VITAS Healthcare “Supportive Service” Volunteer Program’s as well as provides support of company’s bereavement program offerings. Must be able to work on-site at our Corporate Miramar, Florida office. Hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support Volunteer Managers and associated staff in programs
• Maintain HR data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data
• Audit HR data and troubleshoot irregularities
• Monitor the policies and procedures for the development group and provide input to make corrections
• Works cooperatively with Spiritual and Psychosocial support as needed
• Partner with Spiritual and Psychosocial Support Leads (as well as others) in securing National and local partners for Volunteer Internship Opportunities
• Use experience, external data, and internal data to benchmark our practices and identify emerging trends for consideration
• Engage in the development and facilitation of training for VSMs on best practices
• Oversee National Volunteers Services Support Activities
• Facilitate national calls related to Supportive Services with other members of Supportive Services Department
• Provide Orientation on Volunteer Services roles to PCA/TM, etc.
• Work with corporate marketing to develop and enhance volunteer services resources
• Assist programs during survey in relation to Volunteer Services, as needed
• Coordinate with other departments to provide Volunteers Services perspective
• Provide consultation to IT regarding the development or enhancement of software for Supportive Services
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements

• Experience: Three to five years’ prior experience as volunteer or bereavement manager preferred. A minimum of one year experience training or educating others.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification & Licensure: Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) preferred.
