Healthcare Privacy & Compliance Associate A nationally recognized AmLaw firm is seeking a Healthcare Privacy & Compliance Associate with 2+ years of experience to join its growing healthcare privacy and cybersecurity practice.This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and emerging technology. Attorneys in this group advise leading healthcare organizations on complex data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory matters while receiving meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and mentorship from experienced practitioners.Representative ResponsibilitiesAdvise healthcare organizations on privacy and cybersecurity incidents, including ransomware attacks, business email compromises, insider threats, and other security eventsConduct breach assessments and counsel clients regarding state and federal notification obligationsCoordinate incident response efforts with forensic investigators, notification vendors, communications professionals, and law enforcementAssist clients with investigations and regulatory inquiries involving federal and state agenciesCounsel healthcare organizations on HIPAA compliance, data governance, and privacy-related obligationsDevelop incident response plans, tabletop exercises, and privacy and cybersecurity training programsAdvise on emerging issues involving artificial intelligence, digital health technologies, and evolving privacy regulationsCollaborate with attorneys across healthcare, privacy, cybersecurity, litigation, and regulatory practice areasQualifications2+ years of legal experience in privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare, regulatory, investigations, litigation, or a related practice areaStrong academic credentialsExcellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environmentSound judgment and strong problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrated interest in privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare, technology, or regulatory mattersCollaborative approach and team-oriented mindsetPreferred ExperienceHIPAA privacy and security complianceCybersecurity incident response and breach counselingRepresentation of healthcare industry clientsGovernment, regulatory, judicial clerkship, or Am Law firm experiencePrivacy certifications such as CIPP/USWhy Consider This OpportunityWork on sophisticated healthcare privacy and cybersecurity mattersSignificant client contact and hands-on responsibilityCollaboration with a nationally integrated teamExposure to rapidly evolving issues involving data privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligenceStrong mentorship and long-term professional development opportunities Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
