Responsibilities
- Leverages Epic Revenue Cycle and Patient Access expertise, including certification or significant implementation and operational experience
- Brings proven experience working within large health systems and navigating their complexities
- Provides strategic delivery oversight and portfolio strategy leadership for Revenue Cycle and Patient Access initiatives
- Pairs closely with IT and operational leadership to drive prioritization, sequencing, and value realization across a complex portfolio
- Ensures alignment of initiatives to enterprise strategic objectives within a large health system environment
- Operates within a matrixed model, collaborating with project managers and application leaders without direct reporting responsibility or ownership of individual projects
- Proactively identifies and mitigates risks, dependencies, and competing priorities across initiatives
- Influences stakeholders across a complex environment, particularly within application leadership, to improve delivery outcomes
- Balances coaching and accountability to elevate delivery standards without direct functional ownership
- Guides and supports teams to enhance execution consistency and overall performance
- Builds strong partnerships with operational leaders to align IT delivery with business needs
- Drives continuous improvement in portfolio execution, governance, and value delivery outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Healthcare IT with a focus on portfolio, program, or PMO leadership
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale IT portfolios within Epic Revenue Cycle and/or Patient Access domains
- Epic Revenue Cycle and/or Patient Access certification preferred or equivalent deep functional expertise
- Proven track record working within large, complex health system environments
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Epic Revenue Cycle workflows including scheduling, registration, eligibility, coding, billing, and collections
- Experience operating in a matrixed organization with ability to influence without direct authority
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Ability to drive prioritization, portfolio governance, and strategic alignment across competing initiatives
- Experience identifying and managing cross-functional dependencies, risks, and resource constraints
- Demonstrated success coaching and elevating project managers, application teams, and delivery practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on value realization and outcomes
- Experience partnering with operational leaders to align IT solutions to business objectives
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools, PMO frameworks, and healthcare regulatory considerations
