Position Summary
The Revenue Cycle & Patient Access (RCPA) Specialist serves as the front-line operational owner of insurance eligibility verification, patient access, and pre-intake financial onboarding for the organization. This role ensures that every scheduled outpatient encounter is supported by accurate, current insurance and financial information before service delivery, directly contributing to clean claim rates, point-of-service collections, and reduction of pended services.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility verification, including commercial, Medicaid managed care, and Medicare coverage types
- Familiarity with Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) Medicaid enrollment processes and SoonerCare plan requirements
- Ability to identify and resolve coordination of benefits (COB) issues and dual-coverage scenarios
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems; experience with behavioral health-specific platforms preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through on time-sensitive workflows
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, including the ability to discuss insurance, copays, and sliding scale fees with empathy and clarity
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines without close supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly document financial and insurance information in client charts
- Comfort with reporting tools and basic data entry/quality assurance for dashboards and payer mix reports
