Driving business development through the development of strategies, proposals, and client presentations, while cultivating long-term, trusted client relationships that lead to new opportunities.
Representing Arup externally with healthcare clients and industry partners, strengthening our profile and reputation in the market.
Serving as Engineer of Record and leading the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary healthcare projects across the region, ensuring outcomes meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and innovation.
Owning project delivery from concept through completion, including oversight of scope, schedule, budget, risk, and interdisciplinary team performance.
Providing technical leadership through high-quality, code-compliant electrical designs and the implementation of robust QA/QC and best-practice processes.
Translating client needs into technically sound, innovative solutions that support safe, efficient, and future-ready healthcare facilities.
Leading commercial and financial engagement with clients, including contract management, financial performance tracking, and negotiation of scope or schedule changes as required.
Identifying staffing needs and leading the recruitment, development, and retention of technical talent, while supporting career growth through mentorship, coaching, and performance development.
Fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, while strengthening leadership capability and operational excellence across the healthcare team.
Contributing to Arup’s strategic growth in healthcare across the West, supporting a key market that is central to the region’s long-term success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering required
- Minimum 15 years of experience designing electrical systems for healthcare facilities required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading multidisciplinary healthcare projects
- Confirmed experience with Central Plant Design and Acute Care Renovation Projects
- Deep knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations and codes
- Strong commercial savvy, client relationship development, and team leadership skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Passion for sustainable design and alignment with Arup’s mission and values
