Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Dietary Cook at Avir at Jacksboro, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of meals to our residents, including patients with dietary restrictions and special needs. Your tasks will include:

• Meal Preparation: Cooking and preparing a wide range of meals, including entrees, sides, and snacks, using fresh ingredients and adhering to strict food safety guidelines.
• Menu Planning: Collaborating with our dietary team to plan and prepare menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
• Food Service: Serving meals to our residents in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all residents receive their meals in a timely and courteous manner.
• Inventory Management: Managing food inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in a healthcare setting or culinary arts preferred
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
