Dietary Cook (Healthcare)

About the role

Kadima at Greenville is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare food in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures. This role ensures quality food service for our residents and may involve directing, evaluating, and monitoring dietary staff, including disciplinary actions and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and authorized substitutes.
• Ensure meals are palatable, appetizing, and visually appealing.
• Serve food following established portion control procedures.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets based on planned menus and special diet orders.
• Assume responsibility for the tray line and serve as needed.
• Use standardized recipes and follow special diet orders accurately.
• Inspect special diet trays to confirm correct diets are served.
• Prepare and serve nutritional bedtime snacks for residents.
• Ensure appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with resident meals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
