Responsibilities
- Partner with supported Dentists to gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency.
- Utilize financial options to support case acceptance and educate patients on treatment choices.
- Overcome common patient objections and keep Dentist's schedules productive.
- Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner while creating a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and Patients for Life (PFL).
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices.
- Achie proficiency in PDS system and tools to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their unique wants and needs.
- Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options to give patients choices that fit their budget.
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment.
- Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model within the office and referrals outside the office.
- Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
- Build the financial understanding of team members, staff, and clinicians, and understand local market drivers and competition.
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies; address others professionally and respectfully.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies.
- Handle and maintain extreme confidentiality of patient records.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively, and maintain high-quality work.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and handle sensitive information with care.
- Volunteer in your local community during paid time off.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
- Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
- Results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, and influencer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
